About
Welcome To
Al Castello
‘Gravedona has a refined and elegant beauty, the heart of which is the area called ‘Castello’, or Castle. It was the fortified centre of the original ancient village, where the houses sit tightly shoulder to shoulder, ranged around the old church of S. Sebastian (now no longer used for worship). Many of the houses are sadly no longer lived in, but all of them are bursting with history and the stories of distinguished past owners.’

Guest House Al Castello is located in the heart of the historic centre of Gravedona ed Uniti, where you can still see the remains of the old castle walls and the old meeting square, which is now the marvellous viewpoint known as the Belvedere or Pra’ Castello. The whole area is full of ancient lanes and stairways leading either to the main squares or to the main road, the ‘Regina’.
The oldest houses in Gravedona are found right here , around a little central square called Piazza Motta
